This Privacy Policy explains how MatchSphere ("MatchSphere", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our mobile apps and website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account data: email address and a hashed password when you register, or a provider ID if you sign in with Google or Apple.
- Profile data: nickname, avatar, country and language preferences.
- Preferences: favorite teams, players, leagues and matches; notification and theme settings.
- Support content: messages and feedback you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Device & usage data: device type, OS version, app version, IP address and basic usage events used to operate and improve the Service.
- Push tokens: a Firebase/APNs device token if you enable notifications.
- AI usage: the prompts and content you submit to AI features, to generate responses and prevent abuse.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the Service, including accounts, favorites and personalised content.
- Deliver push notifications you have opted into (match start, goals, final scores, news).
- Generate AI sports analysis and comparisons.
- Operate subscriptions and process payments through app-store providers.
- Maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Improve features and understand how the Service is used (in aggregate).
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that operate the Service on our behalf — for example cloud hosting, push delivery (Firebase / Apple), payment processing (App Store / Google Play), and AI model providers — bound to use it only for those services.
- Sports data providers supply us match, league, team and player data; your personal data is not shared with them.
- Legal authorities where required by law or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Service.
4. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal, accounting or security obligations.
5. Your Rights & Choices
- Access and update your profile and settings in the app.
- Delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us. This permanently removes your account data.
- Notifications: turn push notifications on or off in app settings or your device settings.
- Depending on your location, you may have additional rights (access, correction, erasure, portability, objection). Contact us to exercise them.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
8. International Users
The Service may process and store data in countries other than your own. By using the Service you consent to such transfers, carried out with appropriate safeguards.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service means you accept the changes.
